To better serve its members, Western Fire Chiefs Association(WFCA) has formed a new cooperative procurement partnership with Sourcewell, one of the largest government cooperative procurement organizations in North America.
In 2002, WFCA created the FireRescue GPO in response to a growing demand for group purchasing options within the fire service. The FireRescue GPO partnered with NPPGov to provide purchasing solutions to members across the nation. WFCA and NPPGov mutually agreed to end their relationship effective October 31, 2019.
Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) is a self-supporting government organization providing cooperative procurement solutions across the United States and Canada. Sourcewell serves approximately 55,000 public-agency members.
